Here the vocal stays fixed and only the accompaniment moves. If MIDIBack truly uses backing harmony, its corrected pitches should track the transposed band instead of clinging to the absolute pitch of the original mix.

Column one is the original mix. Column two keeps the original vocal and mixes it with
a backing transposed only inside that window. Column three replaces the vocal with
MIDIBack’s correction over the same transposed backing. Clips use a ±1 s pad around
the window. Shifts are ±0.25, ±0.5, and ±1 semitone on 4-bar and 8-bar regions.
